Note:   Due to his desire to remain anonymous, I will not release Blackie's email address to anyone.

However, if you absolutely must send him something, I can forward it to him.  Whether or not you'll get a reply will be up to him.

A long time ago now, I wrote a series of stories I posted anonymously on
Alt.Sex.Stories under the psuedonym of Blackie.  For a time, I also ran an
anonymous mailing list by invitation for mind control stories.  Flying Pen
was one of the members.  Oogle Bird, btw, is an oblique reference to Rocky &
Bullwinkle, I suspect few people ever got.

I'm afraid one conclusion you came to about the author being in college when
he wrote the stories is wrong.  The main reason for anonymity is self
protection and for protection of my family, as I lived in, and live now in a
pretty conservative area where people would do stupid things if they thought
you were involved in such activities as writing 'porn'.

Sad to say, the real reason I stopped was that my other interests and
activities made me too busy to write further.  There was one more chapter I
started in the story, and I did have plotted out more of the yarn.

I was amused today to find you'd picked up the ideas and did your own
stories using some of the background of The Book's universe. For what it's
worth, some of those pieces were lifted from Andre Norton and James H
Schmitz.   The coin was a twisting of a rune stone used for magical purposes
in Norton's tales, and the telepathy was heavily based on Schmitz's Telzey
Amberdon stories.. influences of my youth, since I used to fantasize about
having telepathic powers like Telzey for sexual purposes.  The plot was
necessary to me, since power, absolute as this was, leads to conflicts in
some manner, because if one person has it, others will, and then they will
eventually clash.

Our evil woman in the story was another character in the story in drag. ;)
Kind of obvious to me.  And the institute was a twisted plot that individual
had set in place.  In the end, everyone was due to lose their telepathic
powers but Bob, who as an antihero, would somehow retain them... and leave
everyone believing he'd lost his too.

In the emails that followed this one, we discussed the possibility of he resuming his work on _The Book_.  His final comments were:
"I'll look it over and see if I can handle the 8-10 more chapters it would take to bring the story further along. I'm not promising a thing mind you. I just can't do 8 hour bursts of writing just now without pause and interruption. That is what it takes to do about 50k bytes of text for me. And I don't think it's gonna happen soon. The sex yarn in it still applies to my fantasy; I want to control the mind of the sex toy I play with. Telepathy is not real, it's a fantasy. Ergo, it's not as easy to do as it was when I first tackled it."

I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
