Heat and humidity, moving and plain exhaustion took its toll on the people who keep the stories flowing and alive. Hopefully we are all back on track now and the stories will appear a bit more regularly. You never know how much your stories are missed until you stop posting for two months. I do want to thank all those who wrote with concerns about my health, as well as those who said they couldn't live without regular fixes of the series! We will try and resolve the issue of regular postings starting with the new chapter of "Kelly." The real news is that while we were gone, the Yahoo E-Group has grown to an unbelievable size. Many people have enjoyed spirited discussions on the series and other topics all in a friendly manner. I'm pleased to say that it has become so busy that I accepted an offer from Peter to moderate the group and handle special announcements so that those who are subscribed to the group will have instant notification of all new postings. Thanks Peter! As I said on the main page, here is the link to the mailing list if you want to notified of updates. Go here to sign up. You will also see that chapter 29 of Kelly was not a fluke. I welcome to the writing team "A Dream Painter," who has been inspirational in bringing some fresh blood to the Kelly series. With her unique insight to the character of "Annie," she has pretty well guaranteed that the series will be extended by at least double the length I had planned to write before ending the saga. And another new member I am proud add to the team is "Westie." In the weeks that come, photographs of London are going to start appearing at the Yahoo site so that people can get a feel for the place where Patti and Wendy spend their time! Things are starting to get exciting! The story of "Kelly" changed quite a bit by chapter 30, and there are more changes to come. Love and Money alone aren't enough to survive or to ensure happiness. Sometimes you need to rely on your friends as well. In the life of Patti, we start to learn more about the hazards of second chances. I hope you continue to enjoy both stories. Many of you have questioned why I so often speak about my editorial support. I suppose the reason is because I feel they are often visible only to me in the work they do. My name goes on the credit line, but, these often unsung heroes are the ones who ensure my work is easy to read. It is extremely reassuring to me to be able to leave my ramblings in the hands of two dedicated professionals. I have been blessed with a creative editor who keeps my stories real. Ian allows me to write and without complaint, corrects my ramblings and converts it to something people can read. Especially the teen dialog! Thanks Ian! Professor Denny is also the final word when it comes to what arrives via this site, the postings on ASSM and at Stories OnLine. He, with the short stroke of the blue pen, does the final inspection on what will be released. If there is a comma missing, Denny will find it! Thanks Denny!
