She was on the train not
Somewhere else like most
Of us I thought of being at
My destination was the end
I sought yet for her the train
Itself was end enough

She thrust her head from the
Window greedily devoured
Her hair, exposing her
Delicate neck was taut with
Her excitement consumed
Her body gyrated with joy

At stations she pulled her
Head inside and looked at
Me looking at her disheveled
Hair framed her pixie eyes
Were green and mischievous
Smile beamed down on me

Then out again as we pulled
Away and she soared on the
Thundering wind as I gazed
At her nubile bottom and
Puerile legs transfixed by
Their innocent pulchritude

As she got off following
Father and brother she waved
At me with a casual shyness
Betrayed by her puckish
Grin made me sad that I
Had to continue yet further

As I reached the end of my
Journey I saw that my joy had
Been spent and the end I had
Sought I had left on the train
In the moment she taught
Me to live in the present
