Smell of a girl
Breeze in her face
Hair blowing softly
She sits seeing me
And I can see her
But no one can see that
We see one another
She squirms in her seat
Returning my smile
Allowing a portal to
Open between us
Her boredom has
Caused her blue eyes
To go wand'ring
She avoids me - but
Then looks out the
Window and smiles
I capture her eye and
She tries to escape - she
Runs from my smile yet
Her giggle betrays her
She slowly looks into my
Eyes and enchants them
She offers a fleeting
Glimpse of her soul
The train has coaxed a
Yawn from her lips
She looks at the mother
Who's offered her lap
But glancing at me she
Starts shaking her head
I wish I could be
The back of the seat
Where she nestles
Her ebony head
I hope that the eyes
Which drowsily watch
Me will carry me
Off to her dreams
Face of an angel
Framed in a window
Carried away by a train
