Nuclear terrorism cripples the United States. Communities become isolated as they seek to protect themselves from bandits and an increasingly brutal police state. Opportunities abound for the quick and the ruthless. In the midst of the turmoil, a man tries to rebuild a normal life for himself and the woman he loves.

 

Act 1 GFT Looking for a Home (Chapters 1 - 9)
Simon Woodsman carves himself a home out of brutal lawlessness. Along the way, he finds and saves the woman he loves.
Act 2 GFT A House Divided (Chapters 10 - 18)
The government is cracking down and Simon gets called on to repay his debts. This takes him away from his new home and throws him back into the turmoil of war. Fighting through betrayal and jealousy, he must win before he can return home.
Act 3 GFT A Long Way Home (Chapters 19 - 30)
The war is won and Simon starts back to the Valley, but he has to battle fate and a powerful politician before he can see home again.
