Summary

One of the fantasies I've published is called "Middle School Sex
Education Class". Of course it was 100% total fantasy with absolutely no

Chapter 1 - A Current Assessment

What previously was known as the "moral majority" and their extreme
religious conservatism inevitably fractured into multiple factions as
Muslim and other religions threatened their existence. Each had their
own agenda on how to deal with the perceived threat. But each was a
minority as competing ideologies became more diverse.
Diversity brought divisiveness.
What became prominent was known as the "liberal majority" because they
were not part of any religious faction or economic ideology. The liberal

of life on anybody. Yes, there were still laws of civility, but no
longer were they based on some extreme religious or economic theory.
What became dominant were the pragmatists and freedom of choice. People
realized their life was defined by the choices they made. The majority
demanded the right to choose for themselves how they wanted to live
within the laws of civil society. The right to determine if they wanted
to live by some religious conviction or not. The majority demanded the
right to choose whether they lived in a caliphate, a commune, a religious
or secular society.
As such the following is a story about how a local school board provided
parents a choice of sexual education for their pubescent children.
As hard as it might be to believe today, it wasn't all that long ago when
schools had strict dress codes restricting freedom of expression for both
students and faculty. Personally, I don't think anyone was as relieved
as I was when these draconian policies were finally eliminated once and
for all. After all, being forced to wear a bra and panties to work was a
ridiculous intrusion on my personal rights to say the least. The limits
on hem lines and cleavage exposure were so medieval that I was forced to
maintain an entire wardrobe just for school as there was no way I would
be caught dead in public wearing those "Little House on the Prairie"

Sure a number of far-right conservative and religious groups protested
the "downfall of society as we know it" but they were drowned out in the
chorus of what can only be described as a much more liberal majority who
valued their free will to make an individual choice to live by their own
values and not those defined by others. Such an "open" society had
served the Polynesian communities that settled on the numerous Pacific
islands very well for thousands of year.
Now in our society, school has finally become more than "reading, writing
and 'arithmetic". Beyond the core requirements all schools offered, a
successful school also offered courses based on student interest.
Kelly's school district created a "Student Familiarization" curriculum.
This program was designed to be cutting edge in hopes that future state
and federal funding may be granted to the district for expansion of class
to give students an alternative choice for sex education. The district
would continue to offer the traditional "birds & bees" approach to
teaching students about human reproduction. If the district received
funding, they would also offer the Student Familiarization curriculum as
an additional choice students (and parents) could make for "intensive"
sex education.
It was Friday afternoon when I saw Michelle Marcos, the principal of
Kelly's school slip into Kelly's classroom seconds before the final bell
