"My reports are done, the paper for the lecture is done, and I'm BORED!" Her voice carried the tones of a petulant child. Janet rolled her eyes. "You sound just like Cassie!" Sam stuck her tongue out at her friend. "Do not!" "Fine. If that's the way you're going to be, I'll head back to my office..." Janet said turning towards the door. "No! Wait! Stay here. Let's do something..." Eyes narrowing, Janet quietly said, "Samantha, what are you thinking?" Smiling impishly, Sam came to Janet and whispered in her ear. Janet's face went from anxious interest to amusement as she listened to her friend. Finally nodding, she left the lab with Sam. They eventually made their way to the locker rooms and showers. Sam looked at her watch, "Should be through here shortly. C'mon, we gotta get outta sight!" Sam grasped Janet's wrist and pulled her into a deep, shadowed alcove. "Shh!" she whispered. "If I'm right, they'll be along shor..." Sam clammed up when she heard voices coming down the corridor. Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson had just finished playing raquetball in an improvised court in the SGC's gym. "Man, that wore me out! What say we go to Siobhan's and have a few beers, Danny-Boy," O'Neill said. "Uh, sure, Jack. I guess so," Daniel said hesitantly. He wasn't much of a beer drinker. Sam giggled and grabbed Janet's shoulders, her eyes twinkling in the gloom. Janet had a big grin plastered on her face as well, her teeth shining in the dim light. Finally hearing showers, and Jack's attempt to imitate an Italian tenor, Sam and Janet snuck into the men's locker room. "You get Jack's stuff and I'll grab Daniel's," Sam whispered. Janet nodded. They grabbed all the clothes in the two lockers and buried them in the dirty towel cart. Snickering, Janet started to move towards the door. Sam stopped her with a "Hsst!" Turning back, Janet saw Sam at the master controls for the locker room water, her hand on the hot water valve. "Oh no, Sam! You shouldn't..." Janet shook her head. "Should you?" Sam smiled a wicked, evil smile and cranked the hot water valve hard to the left before running for the door. "Go! Run, Janet!" Janet turned and began to sprint down the corridor just as Sam started to shove her from behind. As they got ready to turn a corridor, they heard two high-pitched yelps come from the showers. "Goddamnit!" "Cold! So cold!" A few minutes later, Sam and Janet were in Sam's lab laughing at their sophmoric antics. "Oh, I wish I could've seen their faces when the cold water hit!" Janet nodded vigorously, "Oh God, how 'bout when they got out and had no clothes?" She started laughing and suddenly snorted which brought a fresh gale of laughter from her friend. "Ahem! You ladies wouldn't happen to know who swiped our clothing, would you?" The ladies froze then looked to see a pair of dripping men in the doorway, each with a towel held firmly about their waists. Trying hard to contain her giggles, Sam shook her head. "No shirt, uh, I mean, no sir. I have no idea. Are they missing?" "Sam..." Daniel began in a slightly whiny tone. "Doc, Major, I would like my clothing back. I would like Daniel's clothing back. And very soon, since it's damned cold inside this mountain!" Janet managed a straight face and said, "I don't think we can help you sir. There are no stray clothes in here." Janet's arm casually swept the room. "Maybe someone thought they were dirty laundry...?" Jack snarled, "You two just wait. You better watch your backs from now on... C'mon, Daniel. Let's go!" Janet fell against Sam, laughing as the sound of wet, naked feet plopped down the corridor. "You realize we are in grave danger, don't you?" Janet asked. "Of course! That's part of the fun," Sam replied enthusiastically. (c) John O'ConnerComments May Be Mailed Here
