ASSTR has been broken for a very long time.

For years, I have not been able to update my pages or upload new stories via FTP, and I have not received any message posts or responses from my surveys.

Emails to ASSTR admins have gone unanswered.

This seems to have been fixed lately, at least partly.

Therefore, I have just uploaded two new stories that I wrote and uploaded to Storiesonline some time ago.

While it is true that I don't write as much as I used to, I still write the occasional story.

Those of you who have been long-time readers of my stories, I urge you to donate to ASSTR to keep ASSTR alive!

Is the game down?

Unfortunately, it seems to be. Several weeks ago, I received an email from ASSTR stating they were having financial difficulties. In ASSTR's heyday, donations kept the site running. But in the past decade, interest in written erotica has declined greatly. This is probably the first stage of ASSTR's death throes. So unless I can find another site to host my erotic games, they're probably gone (I still have all the source code files). You can still read my stories on Storiesonline.

Oh one last bit of feedback! I think one other thing that drew me to the game was the second-person narrative mode. It helps increase my immersion in the fantasy when it refers directly to me as the character. but their isn't much of this anywhere in literature, NSFW or not. Have you thought of writing some? (translation: you should write some so I can masterbate to it.)

Normally, in prose fiction, second person in narrative is annoying to most readers. Try to read an amateur story in second person, "you did this and you did that," it comes across as condescending and destroys immersion. That's why you'll rarely, if ever, see anyone but a novice use second person narrative in a story. But in a game like this, second person works seems to work well for me to put the player in the story, as you've experienced.

Love the toilet slave part. I wish there was more variety though! 90% of the men in the game just wordlessly take a piss and leave. I've had maybe 3-5 instances of scat, But in particular I wish there was a lot more dialogue.

Most of the dialogue appears when you ask to be let go, it would be nice if some of the men sought to verbally humiliate you when you open your mouth, taunt you when you look away or close your mouth, etc.

Of course you only do this in your free time and I don't expect much out of giving you feedback. Still, I lost a lot of hours to this game (I don't think I got any sleep, masterbated all night) I greatly enjoyed it, there's nothing else like it that I am aware of.

I've added more dialog over the years, but I want to give the feeling that you're just a machine to be used. So people don't have much to say. After all, do you talk to your toilet at home when you're taking a dump?

Also, in the interest of realism, men aren't as chatty as women in a public restroom. As a toilet slave to men, that's part of the experience. Once I open the unisex restroom, you'll see what I mean when the women will tease and taunt you, whereas the men will just use you and leave.

Yes, that's implemented. There is a situation where you are soaked in piss, and people in the club will make remarks about it. You should explore the hotel more thoroughly...

And Cockthroat is sometimes put into service as a toilet slave in the men's room. You can ask her about it there, but it's just a remark rather than a full conversation.

Sorry, it's my own design and I built it myself and it's not for sale. I'm not set up for mass production. If you're at all handy, it's not too hard to make. You can buy everything you need from Sartan's Leather workshop. If it's your first leather project, buying all the tools can be expensive. But once you have the tools, making it is dirt cheap. The high cost of buying this stuff retail is because there's no mass production and making each individual piece is very time consuming, that's why this kind of stuff is expensive to buy.

Yes. I'm working on just such a story at the request of someone right now. Things like Minecraft, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc. work against it, and the holidays coming at me rapid-fire right now don't help either, but I expect to have it finished in another month or two. Of course, that means updates to Edge Play will have to be set aside for a while. I have only so many hours per day in my life, bleh.

I have no plans at the moment to expand on the castration theme. It's just that if I'm going to own male slaves, I don't want any dicks hanging out (I'm not gay). Maybe I'll do something with the castration theme in the future, but I don't have any plans for it right now.

That's an idea about the ads, but the toilet slaves and club patrons who use you are NPCs, so there's no effective limit to how many people can be toilet slaves. As a toilet slave, how often you get used is based on a random number generator that's triggered by the day-of-week and time-of-day, i.e. Friday nights the odds are about 1:1, whereas Wednesday afternoon, the odds are about 20:1. I think I've solved the problem of people not being used as I haven't got any complaints recently. I'm not sure what I did to fix it (or maybe it just fixed itself with newer versions of Javascript), but I suspect the problem has to do with all the different versions of Javascript that are out there these days.

As yet, there is no interaction between actual players. Usage isn't all that high, at least not high enough, and you'd be waiting a l-o-o-o-n-g time between uses if I had real players use each other. To put it in perspective, I get a few hundred players a day. But a game like WOW or Runescape gets hundreds of thousands, and you still have to wait a while to get a partner or team for some of the minigames. Plus I'd have the issue of players needing to upload face pics and full nude body images which would open a gimungous can of worms.

But those are good ideas: a cleaning crew comes in periodically to clean the bathrooms. I work in a big corporate office, and I swear the cleaning people are in the bathrooms more often than not. It's a major pain to find a bathroom that's not in the process of getting cleaned, sheesh!

And yes, somebody should be giving you a daily vitamin and antibiotic, and giving the toilet slaves a regular sponge bath (with cold water and harsh detergent). I'll make a note to add these details sometime soon.

If you were in the midst of a poker game with a few hundered bucks riding on the table, would you stop periodically to have a chat with your chair? It's a big enough annoyance to the player that he has to lift up to let the chair breathe between hands. And you want me to do some sort of bartender mini game? I'll see what I can come up with. Looking through your game, has many nice features but some definite downsides.

1. No way to get extra Play Points that I can see, besides the dart game that takes forever and is a probable loss.

2. I made a female character that I wanted to make a slave, but the only sort of slavery she could volunteer for was to be a toilet slave ... which isn't terribly exciting.

I was hoping that she could go into the locker room, and take everything off so that someone could take her as a slave - but no such luck. There's no option in the locker room other than to leave it.

3. As a male character, I found the parking lot attendent who will give a blow job, and I found that I could exit the stairs at street level and the girl in the room would invite me up - but I could not find an option to find her. She was described as being several floors up, but I tried every door up through the 8th and found no sign of her.

4. In short, the only way I found to get ANY action in this game (besides the parking attendent blow job) was to go to the mad scientist's lab in Room 1313, hope to get shrunk down, and get some sex in the aquarium before being eaten. For a sex game, there sure isn't much opportunity for sex. Shouldn't there be opportunities to talk to the people in the fitness center, pool, or even the restaurants and lounges? People ordinarily talk to each other in such places.

Nothing big planned at the moment. Priorities for Edge Play at the moment are:

1.) Figure out why some people aren't being used in the toilets. Some sort of Javascript incompatibility maybe. But the problem doesn't happen to me, so I have no idea what needs to be changed to make it work for everyone.

2.) Add more activities in the other dungeons. Maybe a slave auction, where you can sell yourself or buy someone else. But I don't think Edge Play will ever have the user base of WoW or Runescape to make that practical.

Sure! I need someone to help me figure out why some people aren't being used when they're a toilet slave. I've play-tested it myself again and again on different computers (Ubuntu Linux, and M$ Windoze) and browsers (Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Exploder) and it works perfectly for me. I thought I fixed the problem a few months ago, but people are still telling me they're not being used. I can't fix the problem if I can't reproduce it, and I'm pulling my hair out working blind guessing what the problem might be.

Thanks for the bug report. I had to tweak a setting so you don't have to eat so much before you can shit. It wasn't exactly a bug, but you had to eat a few subs before you had to shit. Now, you can shit after just two or three.

But it is a game, after all, and there has to be some puzzles and challenges, lol.

I have a question about the toilet lid. Suppose that toilet slave's head is tightly enclosed by the toilet bowl, which is closed from the top by the lid. Do you think that the toilet lid should be closed when toilet isn't in use? Or - maybe you prefer the lid remained open?

If I was a toilet slave, I would rather that my owner closed the lid after each use. Closing the lid gives much more objectification for the slave. Especially, when the interior side of lid is a few inches from the face of toilet slave.

How do you think it should look interior side of that lid? Should there be some drawing on it? Maybe a photo? And maybe some sentence?

Perhaps in some other venue, I might have a lid that closes over the slave's head. But in Edge Play, they're more like public bathrooms and there are no lids. I wrote a msg last week but it is not posted. In the simulation game, if the guy is a stall in ladies room and he says he wants to not be a toilet any more, there are two responses. Sometimes the gal leaves for another stall. In the other case, she says she knows he is a lave being punished. At that point, the "view" changes to a map of the club, and it eventually comes back to the stall. If she is taking advantage of him being punished, I would suggest a more detailed abuse. She should make him rim her ass, and she should go out of her way to pee very fast and maybe shit a whole load into him as quickly as she can push it out. That would contribute to the punishment. Now, it's just routine, but without the view. Please advise, and please correct.

Meantime, the Club simulation has a bug. If you are a guy who is in the ladies room and you choose "I don't want to be a slave any more", two things can happen. In one case, the gal leaves for another stall, in which case the action is normal. Else, she can say, "I know the score. You are a slave being punished." She does not leave. The screen changes to a map of the club, and numerous clicks later returns to the stall view. I would think if she knew the slave was being punished, she would take advantage and do something extra mean, like ordering the slave to suck her ass, or pissing or shitting very fast and commenting on the slave's discomfort. Please look into this.

I do have some suggestions and questions, for example: I have made multiple toilet slaves but they all seem to be in the same position in the same washroom. So I was wondering if it would be possible to make the toilet slave stall random between the three that way if you have more than one toilet slave they will be spread between the first stall, middle stall and third stall, plus you could also perhaps set in an exit for toilet slaves if you create another one and replace the stall that a previous one is in.

another suggestion: Is their anyway to include a forced human urinal scenario, where maybe you poke your nose where it doesn't belong maybe behind the scenes where the toilet slaves are and then you get knocked unconscious. Then you wake up chained to the with your mouth forced open in the men's washroom forced to serve as a human urinal. Maybe even add another character like the crazy janitor or something.

I have a question about the wax museum. When I create a character in edge play, than go through the mall to the wax museum, then get turned into a wax sculpture. Then if I exit then start again the character I made in edge play is still there not turned into a wax sculpture? I would love to see that fixed :).

Finally: Are their going to be any punishments for your toilet slave if your refusing to cooperate by refusing to do your job? Well, when you're a toilet slave, you don't know which stall you're in. They're all the same from the toilet slave's viewpoint staring at the ceiling. And yes, you're always in the same washroom. If you're a man, you're in the women's washroom. And if you're a woman, you're in the men's washroom. I'm working on it where you can be in the unisex washroom, but that's a little more complex to have both men and women use you.

I've thought about ways of letting players be human urinals. Sometimes I just have to let ideas percolate inside my brain for a while before the insipration comes to me to figure out how to do it. That's just how it is...

As for the wax museum, the wax museum is a separate game. There's nothing to fix. If you go to the wax museum and become a wax statue, then quit the game and start the wax museum normally, you'll be a wax statue. But Edge Play doesn't know what you are in the wax museum and visa-verse. And it would be odd, IMO, if you go through the portal and suddenly become a wax statue. If this is confusing for people I just might take that shortcut out...

Eventually, yes. If you're already a toilet slave and need to be punished, you'll get put in the unisex washroom. But I need to handle that carefully. I don't want to put a straight guy (or girl) in the unisex washroom by mistake and have him be grossed out. I'll have to figure out some way to make absolutey sure he really wants to be in the unisex washroom.

I've tried to make my game a little different from other games that let you have the same conversations with NPCs over and over again. Though if you re-enter the club from the main door on a new day, most things get reset, including possible conversations (otherwise some things would be impossible to do).

Been playing the Edge Play Club game... I have a few characters, including a toilet slave.. But I never seem to get "used" even on packed nights, like Friday. I only get to wait or pee or go to sleep. Do the characters as Toilet Slaves actually ever get used?

Yes, the toilet slaves get used. I've been testing it again as both a male and female...using Firefox, Internet Exploder, and Chrome...under Windoze and Linux (I don't have a Mac so I can't test it with OS X). It works for me; I got used as a toilet slave every time. Unfortunately, if I can't reproduce the problem, I can't fix it. But I suggest you clear your browser cache and force it to download the software again. Here's how:

• In Firefox, click on the Firefox button on the top of the screen.
  Then click on Options.
  Then click on Advanced.
  Then click on Network.
  Then click on Clear Now.
  Then exit and reload the game.

• In Internet Exploder, click on the Tools button (looks like a gear) on the top of the screen.

Thanks! I started writing the game years ago when the only choices were Javascript and Visual Basic. VB was supported only on Internet Exploder, whereas Javascript was supported universally, so it was the only choice. Javascript is a lot like C. Like all programming, you just need to be intimately familiar with the syntax of the language to use it to its full potential, and test thoroughly before putting anything up live. The reason things tend to be fucked up is because people DON'T test their software before releasing. Professionals are equally guilty of that as amateurs.

I try to make my stories work on several levels. To most people, my stories are all "fetish tripe" for them to get their rocks off. Nothing wrong with that. Whatever warps your starship, I say...

The story is fun to navigate, perhaps the music could have the option of being turned off, its a discration. Also, could the possibility of having your charater be dominant or submissve come into play, this way you could take a role, and interact with the enviroment this way? Great to play around in so far though.

You should tell Wendygyrl that it is quite common for submissives who have had a traumatic experience (such as rape) to want to experience it again as a sub.

Psychologists believe that the act of the play-rape (which it should be, for a D/s relationship) is cathartic for the submissive. I have (you're not surprised) three issues with this story. Onea of them is contextual, and the other two are just pure advice from one writer to another.

The first is that no corporation in its right mind would allow its products and salespeople to denigrate and verbally mistreat a class of people who are distinctly and negatively affected by its product. They might describe their product as more efficient and more helpful and more pleasureable, but that's different. A corporation who allowed its sales material (and, in this case, it's products) to refer to the people its displacing as "meat" would find itself on the losing end of a huge slew of public demonstrations that would look very, very bad in the press. "Meat," even on its own, sounds perjorative: it starts sibilant, has only one syllable, and ends hard. It would quickly become so in your universe.

The second is that there is no conflict in this story. Aerith just blows this guy over (literally, in this case) and integrates herself into his life without pause. There isn't a moment of reflection; Justin never worries about the _other_ pleasures in life that Aerith is going to deprive him of: the mature pleasures, like having a family and having a relationship with someone more complicated than a sex machine. Those _are_ pleasures, and they're ones it sometimes takes a lifetime to appreciate. Aerith interferes with those. So (contextually again) it might actually behoove Aerith to have functionality above and beyond being an animated sex machine, but integrating herself into Justin's geeky life to help him actually become someone capable of socializing. To be "a story" and not merely a collection of scenes strung together by an idea, there must be some conflict, some test, and (if this is to be an ongoing idea) both the hint of that moment when both Aerith and Justin are tested, and the seed of a resolution that is satisfying to both characters and reader.

And finally, this story fails the stir-my-loins test. Not because there isn't sex in it, but because you didn't describe how anyone actually *felt* in the story. Sex scene thrive on colors, smells, tastes, sounds, and textures-- not merely "he touched her skin, which was like any human girl's skin," but with real, vivid, vibrant metaphors, similes, and carefully chosen verbs and adjectives that communicate something both positive and lacking in Aerith, and something positive and lacking in Justin, that would make them perfect for each other, both immediately, and in the very long term. Hell, I have a clearer picture of Justin's car than I do Justin's soul. Justin and Aerith don't come across as believable people, and their story doesn't encourage me to want to read more.

In The Replacement, once again it's really the overall concept that I'm tickled by, the casual usage of a human being as a waste disposal system. Very interesting stuff.

I also knew what the girl's fate would be before I started the story, so I never really gave any thought to what would have happened had she agreed to the relationship. Part of me wants to say that they would have fallen in love and lived happily ever after. But that's so borrrring! Thus I suppose he would have got bored with her after a while and she would have ended up a toilet slave in his dungeon in the end anyway.
