The Following is a written review of H. Grant's works written by the tenacious Mark Starr who is an avid critic of online erotica:

Review:

I made a beeline directly to H. Grants writings when I first found the alt.sex.stories postings. I was in no way disappointed at all. He is an excellent writer. While not attracted to some of his main themes directly such as scat and degradation, I was immediately drawn to the deeper expression of human desire deftly craved in his writings that underlie his use of these tools. This deeper human desire being, to have absolute sexual power over other human beings. To have the unabashed freedom to express and reinforce this power. Its a desire humans have craved since they were old enough to see, old enough to recognize a will, old enough to enslave, a desire now crushed and repressed by self fear and societal pressure. He deftly uses guile, dominance, and degradation to color this desire to life. I found myself immediately fascinated to these forms of sexplay that he used to flush out his plot and characters, to a crescendo of an total delight of the protagonists will expanding to absolute authority. The reader can literally feel the power rush build, as if to see through the eyes of a god. A corrupt and all powerful puerile god perhaps, but a god nonetheless, who reveled in enforcing his domination and will through conquest and degradation. I found his writing style to be incredibly seductive and was literally drawn into the story and following right along with his protagonist, feeling and living their very own desires. H. Grant didn't neglect to touch on the emotional states, fears, and anxieties of the other characters just enough to bring them to life.

If I could offer any weak criticism at all, it would be that I would like to feel even more the thoughts of all the characters - especially those acting as well as those being acted upon. Being an writer myself however, I know there is only so much time in the day to write. So I can not fault him for this. I will continue to look forward to his stories and await them like a kid on Christmas day - hoping to get that bb gun so he can finally shoot at the fat assed old neighbors down the street. Goodie! What glee. LOL :-)
