I wrote this on hearing about the passing of another author known as "Simple Man". While I have not read every one of his stories, I thought about where I stood, and... this came out.
I think it can apply to almost any of the writers I rub shoulders with...
We each carry stories within our hearts yet hide them.
We think we are alone in pain knowing not how it is shared.
We have chosen to give voices to our yearnings.
We have breathed life into those we animate.
Our creations can then live beyond us in other's hearts.
We take our place in the vast cycle of creation.

It is a good feeling to know my words have been read ... and enjoyed.
