The power that hums
through the lines all the day
technology supporting man
yet exacts a price we now pay

Forever we go cheap
ne'er upgrading what works
costs being contained
till outage makes sparks

Neglecting the need
to keep up with demands
transmission assured
but then lightning lands

Management ne'er blamed
for costs need be contained
Leaders to be punished
all their warnings detained.
