The beach we walk so shortly
the gap between death and life
souls climbing from the waves
a littorial zone filled with strife

The sands bear silent witness
of those who've walked before
impressions left after their passage
until the tide arising once more

New life borne here daily
souls carried unto this beach
to touch and talk so clearly
departure assured for each

We come to this place so sure
our time ne'er measure in days
the pain and faults carried here
dispersed by pleasure and pride

We stand on this shore so fearful
of the water from whence we came
thinking not of our lives in balance
but of those who crossed the waves

A soul lieve within us
carried deep within our flesh
and ending granting it's release
making room for new life afresh

The touch of one soul forgotten
across three generations or more
yet each lives beyond their years
by their descendants thus assured.
