I go towards my grave a bitter old man
betrayed in my life by all that I am
learnt so many lessons in life as I can
rules lived within failed where I stand
ne'er warned that I'd live so bedamned
My life has molded me to be not a man
woman neither I know not what I am
life's rules didst constrain what I can
yet life's pleasure'd avoid where I stand
justice impossible I know myself damned
So bitter, so bitter I taste life anew
knowing now I've missed and not now I do
others betrayed me I chose wrong a few
complaining and whining I can't blame them too
yet stand here along I stay and now stew
Life lived long 'nough a burden is true
a gift a reward our creator won't undo
our acts our path we walk right in to
we choose and we chose and now see them too
quiet despair we can't let let slide through
Each heartbeat each breath holds us right here
standing inside us we despise with our fear
imprisoned by life, a sentence now so clear
searched and found one who now is our peer
despite bitterness, we still can find a tear.
