Trish rouses herself leisurely from bed as the phone delivers the
good news. Snow day! Trish doesn't have to go to work, and she
decides to take it easy with a relaxing bath and then, well,
relaxing some more in her bedroom alone. Alone, that is, until
Sarah, her younger sister, calls Trish for assistance. Sarah's car
is snowed in at Sarah's school. Trish is a little disappointed at
masturbation interruptus, but family obligation overrules and she
offers her apartment as a place for Sarah to stay. Sarah arrives
shivering and cold, wet clothes go in the dryer, and the sisters
begin to talk. The distance between them shrinks and they become
much, much closer.
I'm usually not much for incestuous stories, but this one has a
certain harmless charm. The author has taken some pains to provide a
somewhat plausible script and characters to offer a explanation of
the issues that might intrude. It's not like these girls simply jump
into bed together at the first chance. For what it's worth, it
makes the story more enjoyable and believable. It's a story of
discovery and understanding as well as a story about hot sex between
sisters.
There are some technical issues, but mostly we are talking about
typos that slipped past the spell checker. An occasional "it's" when
"its" was meant. A few tense issues. One "flaunt" instead of "flout"
-- though in this case, I realise that the difference is open to
debate. Nothing serious and certainly not enough to thrash any
enjoyment of the piece.
Originally, this story was uncoded. While that isn't really a
problem, the incest issues, even while not particularly disturbing
in this story, might surprise some readers in a negative manner, and
may not attract those that enjoy female incest scenes. Might be
worth investigating the coding FAQs.
Overall, a tender tale of discovery and tantalising sex.

Red Flannel -- Emma B. Sweet

Emma lives in a remote cabin in the woods. When the snows come, she
is isolated but happy even while she misses male companionship. This
is the story of one lonely night when Emma finds herself
unexpectedly with a visitor.
Emma's writing does a wonderful job here of protraying her
characters. The themes and the atmosphere are rustic and the style
of the writing seems to mirror this rugged simplicity. While
normally I might find the structure and style stilted, it almost
perfectly matches the story that Emma is telling.
And the sex ain't bad, either.

Jenny in the Window -- Lawrence David

Maria's younger brother, Timmy, has been spying on Jenny. But
instead of being shocked and dismayed by the revelation, Jenny is a
little intrigued. And so a bath, and a loose robe, later, Jenny
decides to explore the possibilities of the situation.
Personally, I found the dialogue in the story a little over the top.
Yes, I remember what it was like to be fourteen and sixteen, but I
never remember talking as Jenny and Timmy do. Granted it's a strange
situation we find our teens in, but the dialogue kept knocking me
out of what would otherwise be a cute story of sexual awakening.
On the bright side, I was a little worried about the portrayal of
two obviously underage participants, but I think David did a very
good job of showing the reader a potentially awkward situation and
spinning it believably into a human tale of awakening. If you can
handle the thought of two teenagers discovering sexuality (horrors)
without anyone getting hurt, then this story can still be of some
appeal.
I did see one consistency issue: why is Jenny purposely standing in
one paragraph, legs aching, but pushing herself up off the floor in
the next?
Overall, a cute and sexy story of exhibitionism and voyeurism with a
twist.

The Journey -- Stasya T. Canine and Esu Migabe

An old man rises from bed, confused and angry, though what he is
angry about is muddled. We follow the old man to the park and back,
while a mysterious woman keeps popping into his life.
What is a no-sex story doing in erotic reviews, you ask? You should
know this Dragon better than that ...
Eros is a subjective thing. The meaning can range from sexuality and
heat between two people, or it can be an indicator for simple
humanity as portrayed in a piece of writing. At least that's this
Dragon's definition of Eros. I debated between awarding this story a
zero in Eros or a ten. Either extreme seemed appropriate, even while
the other categories were obvious.
I finally settled on solid tens, though don't mistake the Eros here
for sexual elements. There is no sexual heat to this story, nor
should there be. Rather a careful humanity shines through the
characters and touches the reader in a way that pumping hydraulics
dare not.
We don't see many stories that are completely without sex here, but
sometimes they are worth reading, if for nothing else but to
understand ourselves in terms that reach beyond our respective
genitalia.
And so, a 10 for humanity in Eros I think works here.
The story works on a number of levels ranging from a physical
journey to an emotional one. Definately worth a look.
