I began reviewing erotic stories from alt.sex.stories.moderated in July 2002. The reviews serve a number of functions, but first and foremost, they serve as a public recognition of the many wonderful authors that share themselves with us freely, making us smile, think, and cry. The reviews also provide the reader a mode of expression that may help narrow story searches, hopefully highlighting those stories that show exceptional literacy, character, plot, eroticism and technical competence. Please keep in mind though, when reading any reviews, mine included, that your tastes will probably differ from mine -- reviews are only opinions. Dragons may be immortal, but they are not infallible. Read the stories yourself and form your own opinions. Then write to the author and let him or her know what you thought. For many authors, feedback is the currency that drives their creativity, and if you like your stories shared freely, this is the way to keep them that way.
