Introduction To My stories

At the same time that I am posting any story (or series of stories), I am going to try to post this introduction to myself, mainly to answer some of the many questions, etc., that have been mailed to me in the past. I apologize to any of you that have written notes to me and haven't gotten replies. There just isn't enough time in any of my days.

On another subject, someone wrote me recently to complain that my use of the present tense in my stories way annoying to him. So here is an explanation. I employ the present tense because of the method that I use to write erotic stories. I do not start with any plan or outline. Instead, I simply sit down at the keyboard and close my eyes, letting an erotic image form in my mind. Then I let that image expand into a "situation," and then I start typing like crazy, sometimes going for 4 - 6 hours at a time. ("Slippery When Wet" took almost 8 hours, with only one bathroom break). Of course, I go back afterwards to check for typos (many, many) and to check for continuity and logic. It's amazing how little problem there is with that, since I am typing as I day-dream, and the stream of consciousness comes out in a form that makes basic sense. Sometimes I have to add a little at the beginning to provide more of a smooth, sensible introduction.

Anyway, this way of writing lends itself to maintaining the present tense. My fantasy is unfolding in the same moment that I am recording it. I'm sorry if that throws you off the "scent." I have read stories by others that are written in the present tense, and it actually turned me on more than past tense stories. Something about being in the moment, sharing the moment..... I dunno. Actually, two of my stories are written in the past tense: "Life's a Beach" and "Alice and Joe and You and Me."

I am often asked to repost one or all of my stories. It is amazing how often people have their transmissions cut off in mid-story, or only get one part of a multiparter. I wish that I had the time to simply mail you the parts of things that you missed out on, but this is impractical. Every couple of months or so, I'll try to repost all of my stories at once, so that will be your chance to catch up on what you think you missed. That is the best that I can offer.

And finally, to answer the most frequently asked question: YES, I REALLY AM A WOMAN. How come so many have trouble believing it? It seems to me, as I read many of the stories in alt.sex.stories, that I can usually tell easily whether the writer is a male or female, no matter what gender they claim to be.
