Teardrops are a collection of short, slightly sad stories (but remember, there are tears of joy and of love), that exist for a brief moment before they are wiped, and shed every Sunday. Or when they are ready, whichever comes last...

Just don't let her say no

by Antheros

“Won't you ever kiss me?”

I was a bit shocked that she asked me that, point-blank, since I had yet barely acknowledged that I was into her, although we had known each other for some time. I didn't think she had a crush on me, which is why I had not asked her out yet, but I thought I could have a shot with her, if I played the cards right.

I stopped at once when I heard her question. We were walking together, it was already dusk. She was shorter than me, at least four or five inches, and she stopped too.

But I kissed her.

I pushed her against the wall, not even touching her, just moving my body against hers, and then I kissed her, trying to hold back and not seem too rushed, holding the back of her neck with one hand and letting the other slide down to her waist. She kissed me back; I felt her hot lips and the soft touch of the tip of her tongue. I felt her body snuggling against mine. When the kiss was over, I slowly drew back, not taking my hand out of her waist.

She smiled.

“How long would you have waited if I had not asked?”

“I was going to ask you out tonight,” I said. I was going to, but I was trying to gather enough courage.

“Are you not going to anymore?”

“Would you like to go out sometime? I know a restaurant you will like.”

“How do you know that I'll like it? You didn't know I was going to like you grabbing and kissing me. No.”

She started to walk again.

That was a no. I shivered.

Or was it? I ran two or three steps, grabbing her and kissing her again. She kissed me back.

“What about tonight?”

“No.” But I had understood her. I placed my fingers on her lips.

“It's not a question.”

I kissed her briefly again, took her by the arm and said I already knew what we were going to eat. She came along. After a few steps I pulled her closer, and she leaned her head onto my shoulder.
