This story is still in its first draft phase, but I think it has a bit of promise. It's a very personal story, which may surprise some people seeing as the protagonist is a woman, but the story is about how one perceives oneself. When we look in the mirror, we see more than our reflection. We see all the baggage our face carries. Sometimes it takes someone on the outside to show us what's really there.
The photograph that brings the story to its resolution is based on one a friend provided to me. I'd like to thank her for showing me that picture, because it was a brave thing to do and helped me find the right visual style for this story. Arigato gozaimasu.
