This is not a story.  This document is a framework and an introduction for people, (who are, most likely, readers of the author’s work) and an invitation, to participate in the FIC Series.

The FIC Series is a series of stories based upon the interaction of the author and participants.

FIC stands for ‘Fun Interactive Creation.’

Since this means taking fantasy into reality to interact with people in order to both play and create works of fiction this document was designed to facilitate this process.

Abstract

First, let me give you the broadest description of the open-ended ‘Game’:

This is an interactive game, you who apply through e-mail to play with the author ‘Alex Streuth’ (me) within a storyline of the author’s creation.  The game takes place over instant messenger in scheduled sessions.

There are 3 parts to this document.  The ‘Introduction’ section which describes the game’s characters and setting, the ‘Rules of Play’ section which describes how to play the game, and the ‘Application’ section which describes how to get into the game.

Introduction

To get an idea of the game’s content you should read my work at asstr-mirror.org first if you are not familiar with it.

You:  In this game, you become the character of a story.  You become a ‘fictional’ female character.    In the ‘Application’ section of this document is a description of the female body your character begins with, you will be asked to ‘personalize’ it as part of your application.

Me:  I will be playing Alex Streuth who is more realized than your character because I have already given Mr. Streuth many thousands of words of background while you will be just starting out.

The main theme of the game is that of your character’s ‘Re-Education.’  This means that I will be trying to train and condition your character.  You are at a disadvantage when the game starts but the two main ways for you to win (run or overpower) still exist.

-

Here is the description for the initial setting:

“You are in a room, it has wood paneling, one window and one door.  The window treatment is gauzy, almost opaque but it is daytime outside.  You cannot hear loud sounds, but it sounds pleasant outside.  Inside the air is musty, stale, and your joints are achy.  You feel disoriented.

You look normal, but are dressed in a frilly pink outfit that is more fitting for a doll or a 50s housewife than for what you would normally wear.

You cannot see outside of this room, but there is a closed closet and the one closed door.  The entire room dimensions are about 12’ by 10’.

A man is sitting in a chair across from you, the chair is turned backwards so that he is leaning forward against the chair’s back and rocking very slightly forward on it, grinning.  You are far enough away that if his chair were to topple forward it would not hit you.”

-

This is the jumping off part for the story.  You are playing within a created setting that has physical features that you are not fully aware of.  As the game progresses you will be given information Out of Character (OOC) through e-mail which allows you to plan your character’s actions and responses for the next session.

The session itself if played out spontaneously through instant messenger and you and I react to each other.  My goal in the game is to coax your character into an obedient and willing participant in her own ‘Re-Education.’  Your goal is to resist and escape.  You can play either to try to win or to try to lose.  Either way, the game will progress as the story unfolds and you react to the situation and to my character.

We will be playing through prepared material but our improvisations and interactions will be what bring the story to life.  Because of the prepared material you can expect each session to be a fun-filled and ready experience.  Since the easiest way to play is to play to lose you could merely sit back and enjoy the ride, so to speak, if you so chose.

Please continue on to the ‘Rules of Play’ to learn the system that will be followed for an efficient and fun play experience.

Rules of Play

1)   You must be 18 to play.

2) We are playing anonymously.  You should apply with an anonymous e-mail account.  This is to streamline gameplay.  Keep interaction in e-mail and IM (instant messenger) as game-based as possible.

3)   Joining:  You must submit an Application E-mail and be accepted into the game (see the last section, below, ‘Application.)  You will be put into a schedule for a weekly session (when and how often are negotiable to some degree, and can be ironed out after acceptance OOC.)

4) Contact:  All communication outside of the scheduled play-time is to be through e-mail only and is not to be extraneous.  Once the designated play-time is reached you should be on Instant Messenger ready to message me letting me know you are ready to play.

5) Breaks:  a)   Sessions :  If you need to skip a session you may indicate so through e-mail.  If you miss more than two sessions in a row your time will become available to others.

                   b)   AwayFromKeyboard:    If you need to take a break during a session you should not go out-of-character once play has started.  Simply type <#> where # is the number of minutes approximately that you will be gone.  If you are gone for more than 15 minutes the session will expire.

6) Emergencies:  If you have to end a session prematurely don’t break character.  The next session will pick up where the current one leaves off.  Type <END> and then log-off.  Frequent use of the <END> function will result in your time slot becoming available to the applicant pool.

7) Downtime:  In between sessions you are required to send at least one e-mail with the basic outline for your planned actions for the next session, however, don’t ‘scene’ in e-mail.  I will respond with information that is salient to your ‘plan of attack.’  This e-mail also serves to confirm your appointment for the next session.

As an example:

‘Alex, while I am pretending to sleep, after I am sure you are gone, I am going to search the closet.’

My response would then tell you what is in the closet.  This allows you to plan for the next session, but not to plan for my responses.

8)   Continuity:  Every session will pick-up exactly where the previous one left off, with no time elapsed.  Each session is played out in real-time.  If things are happening quickly I will arbitrate the sequence of events:

If I type <Pause> then you are to stop typing and wait for my narrative to catch us up.  If you are paused mid-type then copy your message so that you can display attentiveness through the idling that you will have to do while I describe the events. (See Idling, #11, below.)

9)   Actions:  If an action is performed which would make an action the other person is typing impossible, the person typing must restart their action:  Whoever is the faster typer wins.  However, there are game effects which slow characters down, such as drugging.  If a character is drugged they may only type with one hand for actions and speech (slurred).

10) Language:  Do not use ‘D/s’ IM rules, that is, do not refer to me as a Capital Entity or yourself as a lowercase entity.  Please, please, please try to use proper English at all times (spelling, grammar, punctuation.)  You will not be penalized for poor usage but it ‘fills’ your character out more, and makes it more fun for me when you talk in full sentences.  Also, try to be descriptive as to your character’s actions with adjectives if you are able to.  However, if action is taking place and timing is ‘clutch’ then you will be forgiven poor language usage.  Exceptions are made for non-native speakers, which you should mention in your application.

11) Idling :  This is by far the most important rule.  Whenever you are not typing:

Every 10-20 seconds that you are idle you must type a space and then hit enter to show that you are there.  If you are idle for over two minutes then the session will end.

12) Explanations:  While keeping our OOC to a minimum if you use <END>, idle out, or your session expires due to you being AFK for too long please send a short explanative e-mail in order to help retain your time slot.

13) Starting Play:

Begin Out of Character

Tell me how much time you have available to you through the notation <+4hrs> which means (I can play for up to 4 hours.)

Ask questions.  This is the only time you may ask questions in real-time.  They should be about the game, specifically, for scene information in regards to your plan and/or the setting.

I will type <Start Story> and we will begin exactly where we left off.

14) Ending Scenes:

You may give me time reminders with the notation <+1hr> which means ‘I have one hour left before I have to go’ or <+20min>.  Don’t make frequent time reminders unless you have to get going soon.

We continue until I type <End Story>.

You may then make short OOC comments if you keep them brief and topical.  Try to reserve your comments for e-mail.

15) IC Protocol:

Don’t break character, ever, for any reason.  Don’t say ‘I really have to go’ and then leave.  Preserve the scene at all times.  Use the above notation to take a short break, or indicate an emergency end.  If you wish to communicate that you have to get going soon use frequency of your time reminders <+10mins> <+9min> <+6min> to be an indication that you have to leave, don’t go out of character to do so.

When in doubt, explain something in OOC through e-mail later rather than go out of character in the middle of a game session.

Notes on Playing :

Use the OOC time before the game to address game-specific problems.

If the game is going too slow or too fast address concerns like that OOC in e-mail.

Don’t worry about having to play a ‘certain’ way.  Act and react naturally, how you want, for the best experience.  If you (God forbid) get bored then you can make stuff happen.

Not to patronize, really, but I will help you if you are having problems.

You are allowed to describe your actions and your expressions, in fact, you are encouraged to do so.  You are, however, only playing your character.  I control the environment and will be in charge of its description and action.

Over time everything should come naturally and you should find yourself enjoying the game very much.  If at any point the game concludes I will determine how well you played and combine that with what ending you achieved to formulate which story you are eligible to play in next.  You will be given more options and allowed more input into the process.

You are not allowed to make OOC requests while playing (you are not allowed to go OOC while playing.)  You may only make suggestions, and they may only be through e-mail.  Everything else must be achieved through the game framework and through the Point System I just described in the last paragraph.

Application

You must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

This game requires female participants.  For the purposes of this game anyone who wishes to apply will be treated as female.  You are encouraged to act feminine in your OOC interaction with me.  You are also encouraged to act as ‘in-character’ as you like in all of your OOC interactions with me.  If you are passive that will not slow us down, if you are aggressive you will be welcomed so long as you obey the Rules of the Game.

The application gives me answers to questions I have for game set-up (such as your character’s body) as well as allows me to see your writing ability.

You will be rejected if you show insufficient writing ability or a lack of cognitive function.

To submit an application to play:

1) Send an e-mail from any e-mail account

2) Use your character name

3) The subject should be FIC APPLY

4) In the body:

a) Firstly make a short introduction expressing your desire to participate in this game.  Tell me, briefly, why you would like to play, and, also briefly, where you hope the story might take you.  You are anonymous, you may be honest.  [This is the one part where you should be OOC if you are at no other time.]

b) Answer the following question in short answer:

‘How much of my other work have you read, and what are your feelings about it?’  Do you have a part or story you particularly like or dislike.

c) Next, describe your character’s body, use the first person ‘My and I.’

  This is the basic framework:

Your body is a generic female body ranging from age 18-24 and is optimally proportioned as a body can naturally develop.  You have a fair complexion and can choose to have either a lither or more robust body build.

Using this framework, ‘personalize’ your body, adding any features or characteristics you would like without making major changes to its structure.  Make cosmetic changes, and ‘flush-out’ the body’s main description.  You do not have to design your body to please me, as the game progresses I will try to change it as I like if I am able to.

Next, you may make some changes to its structure, in the form of small modifications (small tattoos, piercings) that are normally available to young women who have some spending money.  No surgery or strange circumstances may be used except for slightly crimped toes if you feel your character has worn high heels for a few years.

d) Third, describe who your character is and where she is from.  What did she do for a living, what her interests are, what her ambitions are.  This portion is important but, in relation to the amount of words that you use to create this description, you should have a ratio of 2 here and a ratio of 3 for your appearance.

e) Choose one of the following:

1) My character starts the game with an inhibitor chip implanted under her skin.  This allows Alex to send firings of signals through her nervous system, causing her to become incapacitated through use of a remote control.

2) My character starts the game with a minor physical handicap (you will have to roleplay):

  Choose a handicap,

a) Lisp when talking

b) Limp when walking

      c) Dainty (lower than average female upper arm strength.)

3) My characters starts the game with a normal body.

f) Write a short answer to the following:

Would you describe your character as someone whom Alex could easily dominate or someone whom he would have a hard time dominating?  Do you feel she would be more likely to resist at all costs or give-in right away?

g) Which rule do I describe as being ‘the most important’?

h) When is it okay to break character during game?

i ) Add anything else along these lines that you feel you would like to add.  You may also include some of your own, brief, thoughts.

j) Add a salutation and then hit Send.
