Ms. Leslie

by Kelley O.

O, how I met her
With her beautiful hair and eyes
I was thirteen and she, thirty nine
But boy, was she hot and yes was she fine!

I loved her smell as she walked past me
In the corridors of the loony bin
Security officers never smelt so good
I wish I could and wish she would

"Please give me a chance," I wanted to say,
But I knew she was different somehow, someway
She was not straight; I would soon find out
What she and her girlfriend were all about.

I couldn't help wonder how she looked undressed
With a smile, I would greet her, but I was too stressed
I called her everyday until 9
I knew she was going to forever be mine

Until that one day, where I ended in
The loony bin once again
The shrinks asked me a trick question, and me,
Not knowing any better answered innocently.

She almost lost her job that day
I apologized and tried to repay
But she had already made up her mind
And now to this day, her I cannot find.
I love you, Ms. Leslie, and I wish you'd know
How much I had hurt for telling them so
I won't make that mistake again
Please come back to me and be my girlfriend.
